Pearson Integrates CourseConnect with LMS

Pearson has launched a new version of CourseConnect, its customizable online course library. CourseConnect Analytics Edition specifically integrates with LearningStudio, the company's software-as-a-service learning management system (LMS), to let institutions track learning objectives and performance as tied to the course connect.

CourseConnect courses are online resources tied to Pearson textbooks. They can be used with the texts or as stand-alone materials. They work within any LMS, according to the company. Current subject areas for CourseConnect include: health, business, computer science, criminal justice, electronics, general education, medical assisting, medical insurance, paralegal studies, and professional online educator studies.

The new version generates reports showing performance across courses and sections of the same course, by student, by course, or by program. The data is intended to allow the instructor to personalize the pace of curriculum delivery for each student and to give institutional effectiveness staff additional details for measuring student and class performance.
