Dymo/Mimio has debuted the newest version of its interactive classroom software, MimioStudio, this week at the Florida Education Technology Conference (FETC) in Orlando.

MimioStudio allows teachers to create multimedia interactive whiteboard lessons with "ready-to-use video, sound, and graphics," and the ability to "write, draw, highlight, reveal, color, screen clip, or annotate" lessons, according to information released by the company.

New to version 9 is the ActivityWizard, an activity creator designed to help teachers create exercises for core subjects such as math, languages, arts, science, and social studies. Using MimioStudio 9's knowledge engine to automatically populate activity templates, teachers can prepare interactive classroom activities for specific ages and grade levels.

Other features of MimioStudio 9 include:

MimioStudio 9 is compatible with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems. The American English version is scheduled for release in North America in February, with 32 additional language versions scheduled for launch in March.

Mimio will be demonstrating the upgraded software at FETC in booth 501 through January 26.
