Pearson Partners with CompuClaim School-Based Medicaid Billing Solution Provider

CompuClaim, a provider of school-based Medicaid billing solutions, has joined the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) program of Pearson's K-12 Technology group.

MeduClaim is CompuClaim's automated, Web-based Medicaid billing portal that enables school administrators to manage their school-based Medicaid billing programs. With this partnership, Pearson will be able to provide schools with access to MeduClaim through its PowerSchool student information system. According to Peter Carson, president and founder of CompuClaim, the partnership will provide schools with "more control of their data and Medicaid billing programs."

MeduClaim connects to any individualized education program (IEP) system or Medicaid agency in any state. It handles eligibility verification and claims processing, and the company claims it enables schools to save 50 to 70 percent on their current vendor and processing costs while increasing compliance. It also includes a Web-based service logging module that enables service providers to keep track of the services they provide to IEP students. Because MeduClaim is Web-based, no software or hardware installation is required.

"By providing this innovative software service to our customers, we are helping them simplify their existing school based Medicaid systems while reducing processing costs significantly," said Oliver Wreford, director of business development for Pearson's K-12 Technology group, in a prepared statement.
