Shmoop Adds Analytics Tool for Schools and District

Digital curriculum and test preparation company Shmoop has added Shmoop Analytics, a reporting tool that tracks and analyzes data for schools and districts.
Administrators, teachers, and schools that have purchased a Shmoop premium service license now have instant access to a new analytics tool that provides information about their students in a variety of ways, including how they are using their time online, what they are studying, and the progress they are making. For example, teachers can run analytics to see how well students are performing on exams and determine where students may require additional help.
Principals and superintendents can view how many students are registered, what schools they attend, and the courses they are enrolled in. By choosing a metric and selecting a date range, the analytic tool generates reports, graphs, and charts at the license level, at the school level, and at the classroom level.
Key features include the ability to:
- View user activity;
- Monitor student progress;
- Identify other schools, classrooms, and students using Shmoop;
- Print and export data; and
- Create, view, and print graphs and charts.
Shmoop offers more than 7,000 titles in study areas such as literature, mythology, math, biology, economics, and United States history that combine academically written materials with Internet, current events, and pop-culture references in an approachable style designed to make learning fun and help students understand how subjects relate to their daily lives.
