T.H.E. Journal Launches New Common Core State Standards Newsletter

Chatsworth, CA — 1105 Media Education Group and T.H.E. Journal, the nation’s leading magazine covering technology in K-12 education, today launched a new industry newsletter entitled Common Core Tech Update.

As Common Core State Standards are quickly becoming a new reality for most districts across the country, T.H.E. Journal has established the Common Core Tech Update to address how technology can be leveraged to help schools and districts implement these new and important standards, looking specifically at the intersection of technology and curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

This monthly online newsletter is designed for educators who want to stay on top of emerging technologies that will help schools and districts successfully implement Common Core. From the latest curriculum apps, to updates regarding online assessment requirements, to technologies that promote 21st century instructional strategies, Common Core Tech Update will highlight best practices in technology-enabled teaching and learning for the Common Core.

T.H.E. Journal Executive Editor Christopher Piehler, who will also edit the new newsletter, says, "We’re excited about launching this newsletter, because Common Core is a hugely important topic for our readers. Every month, the newsletter will feature advice from district leaders and other experts on how to make the transition as smooth as possible."
