OpenEd Adds Public Courses

OpenEd, a K-12 educational resource catalog, has added support for public courses, allowing users to publish courses they've created or use those shared by others.

According to a blog post from the organization, "curators at OpenEd have created courses for every grade level (K-12) in mathematics, language arts and science. These courses use every single Common Core standard and group them together in logical topics. Resources are then assigned for each topic."

To create a course, users select a preexisting course, click the "clone course" button, then modify the course. Users can find existing courses by using the catalog's search tool and selecting "course" as the resource type.

More information about OpenEd is available at opened.io.
