Fuel Education Adds new Online and Blended Courses
Fuel Education, a provider of
personalized learning solutions, is launching more than 25 new online and
blended math courses for middle and high school as well as a slate of new
elective courses.
According to the company, the new courses are "in full alignment with the
Common Core State Standards, as well as other state and national standards."
Fuel Education's new middle school math courses include:
- Fundamentals of Algebra and Geometry;
- Pre-Algebra; and
- Algebra.
These "tablet-ready" middle school courses are available on iPad, Chromebook,
Android and other mobile devices.
New high school math courses include:
- Developmental Algebra and Continuing Algebra as a two-year sequence
designed to provide students with a deep understanding of Algebra I;
- Algebra I Extended Learning, a one-year course that emphasizes
real-world applications and uses a built-in diagnostic assessment and
adaptive learning technology; and
- Integrated Mathematics I, II and III, which are aligned to the
Integrated Pathway for Mathematics as defined in the Common Core State
Standards.
New high school elective courses include:
- Art in World Cultures;
- Careers in Criminal Justice;
- Cosmetology;
- Early Childhood Education;
- Entrepreneurship;
- Introduction to Agriscience;
- Peer Counseling; and
- Public Speaking.
The new blended learning courses are integrated into Fuel Education's
personalized learning platform, PEAK, and teachers can customize the courses
with the PEAK Library, which includes supplemental lessons and assessments as
well as content from Britannica School, Khan Academy, YouTube Education and
other partner organizations.
