STEM Curriculum Adds Web-based Delivery

A new STEM-focused curriculum for young learners, concentrating on both science and math, is coming to the cloud.

Previously available as install-only software, Waterford Math & Science teaches science and math concepts through experiments, games, illustrated text, and songs. Adaptive learning features are capable of tailoring materials to learners’ skill levels.

In addition to new capabilities, like automatic upgrades, the shift to the cloud also includes upgrades to the software’s reporting tools, which are now more detailed and add new data about the areas students, or groups of students, struggle with most.

"Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for schools who need to align to Common Core, while maintaining the high integrity of our curriculum," said Mikkel Storm, vice president of product and marketing for Waterford Institute, in a statement.

Earlier this year, the company released its reading and language arts curriculum in the cloud as well.
