Kansas Gives All Residents Free Access to Britannica E-Books

The State Library of Kansas is adding 500 plus e-books in many of the core subjects like language arts and science for K-5 students, which will be available to residents across the state.

britannica stem ebook Taken from encyclopedia company Britannica's digital library, the books are aligned to the state’s curriculum and focus on science, social studies, language arts, and other core subjects specific to elementary school. Naturally, they’re replete with illustrations and other digital features.

Accessible via nearly any Web-connected computing device, such as tablets and desktops, the e-books are being made available for free to state residents through Britannica’s E-Stax platform, which residents can log into using their library card details.

"We’re pleased to provide these resources to the State Library of Kansas, which shows the library’s commitment to the education of students, teachers, and families," said Michael Ross, a senior vice president at Encyclopaedia Britannica and general manager of Britannica Digital Learning in a statement.
