Infinite Campus Adds Online Discussions to LMS Features of Student Info System

Infinite Campus has added online discussions to the learning management system (LMS) features of its student information system (SIS).

"Part of a suite of LMS features collectively known as Campus Instruction, Discussions allows Infinite Campus to take an even more central role in daily classroom activities," according to a news release.

Integration with the platform allows for the creation of discussions from within Campus Planner or Campus Gradebook and the option to let parents view the conversations through Campus Portal. Discussions are threaded for easier navigation and include customizable moderation tools.

"Campus Discussions is just the latest example of our commitment to creating a single, comprehensive solution for our customers," said Charlie Kratsch, Infinite Campus founder and CEO, in a prepared statement. "Our goal is to integrate the best features of a learning management system directly into our student information system and offer these tools at no additional cost."

Other LMS features coming to Infinite Campus in the next year include a curriculum library, an improved planner and integration with Google Drive and other cloud services.
