Moodle 3.0 Available for Android and iOS
The popular learning platform Moodle has released its 3.0 version for Android and iOS. The app is now available on Google Play and in the App Store for free.
In this new version, users will be able to browse wiki pages. Users should already be running Moodle 2.6 or later, and have the Moodle Mobile additional features plugin installed. (The plugin is not required for Moodle 3.0.)
The update includes improvements to the chat function, messaging and video playing. The language on the app has been translated to Portuguese and Romanian, and images in the book resource are now displaying correctly.
Other bugs have been fixed and additional improvements include turning off the autocorrect in the search field and refreshing recent discussions if a new conversation is started.
Moodle is a widely used free program that provides educators, administrators and students with a single, secure and integrated system to create interactive learning environments. It’s used by millions of students and teachers throughout the world.
According to Juan Leyva Delgado, a developer and team leader at Moodle, the company will be moving to a two-month release cycle for Moodle Mobile after Moodle 3.1 is released. Version numbers for Moodle and Moodle Mobile will align and be the same, he said in statement.
