Otus Taps Authentica to Improve Data Flow

Otus is the latest learning management system (LMS) maker to partner with Authentica Solutions, a company that provides tools for data authentication and management. With the agreement, Otus aims to use Authentica's DataSense product to improve the bi-directional flow of data between its LMS and other education applications.

Otus has created an LMS, data warehouse and other classroom management tools. Authentica's DataSense is an iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) system that provides one central administrative web-based user interface for building, deploying, managing and monitoring data integration processes across multiple applications. It allows for bidirectional data flow as well as an unlimited number of data flows.

In addition, DataSense is expected to be a single, accessible point of all data integrations.

We look forward to working with them, implementing DataSense in their schools and providing schools their data when and where they need it."

Otus was founded by two Chicago area teachers, Chris Hull and Pete Helfers who said they became aware of the potential with enhanced technology in the classroom but saw too much focus in the implementation of software on the technology rather than learning skills.
