Follett Debuts Digital Citizenship, Leadership Courses for Librarians

Follett, a pre-K–12 education services provider, has unveiled two new online courses that teach digital citizenship and leadership skills to librarians.

Project Connect, an initiative from Follett that advocates for librarians to become leaders in their schools and districts, will debut the following professional development courses this month:

  • First, the “Educational Leadership” course “explores the challenges and opportunities of how to lead beyond the library, and how to develop future-ready leaders,” according to a prepared statement. The course follows the Future Ready Framework and is free for all participants; and
  • The “Digital Citizenship” course is for librarians who plan to teach digital citizenship to teach students to be “productive, safe and responsible members of the digital world,” according to a statement. The course is $125 per participant and comes with a micro-credential badge.

To sign up for either course, visit the Project Connect site.
