Barnes & Noble to Host Educator Appreciation Days

Barnes & Noble (B&N) is celebrating pre-K—12 educators by hosting several events and offering a number of discounts on books, toys and games available in store and online.

B&N will be hosting its Educator Appreciation Days from Jan. 7-15 for public, private and homeschool educators enrolled in the B&N Educator Discount Program. The event entails free workshops, including “Cultural Responsiveness” and “A Framework for Math” developed by Shell Education. Various store locations will also host educator receptions (contact B&N stores for more information).

Additionally, educators will be given discounts on the following merchandise:

  • 25 percent off list prices on personal and classroom books, toys, games, music, movies and more;
  • 10 percent off select NOOK devices and “select tech tools to help bring tech literacy to classrooms,” according to a company statement; and
  • Free giveaways, including a STEM calendar from DK Publishing, while supplies last.

Lastly, educators can enter to win a collection of books from Sterling Publishing valued at $4,000.

These events and discounts are only available to pre-K—12 teachers and administrators enrolled in the B&N Educators Discount Program. To apply, fill out an application available here.
