Epson Launches PD Courses for Educators Using BrightLink Interactive Displays

Epson this week unveiled new professional development courses for educators called BrightLink Academy to help teachers create more engaging learning experiences for students with the company’s BrightLink interactive displays.

BrightLink Academy courses are powered by Eduscape and can be taken online using a browser or scheduled for in-person classes. The BrightLink Academy courses, BrightLink interactive displays, and several other Epson projector solutions for education were showcased at the Texas Computer Education Association 2022 convention in Dallas this week.

Created to help teachers and administrators learn at their own pace in one centralized location, BrightLink Academy aims to “help schools integrate BrightLink into existing curriculum and create interactive learning experiences,” the company said.

The courses are available in “packs” and include topics such as “Power Up Learning with the Epson BrightLink”; “Taking BrightLink Tools to the Next Level”; “Supporting Student-Centered Learning Using Easy Interactive Tools and BrightLink”; and “Collaboration Made Easy with Epson BrightLink.”

Also available are courses specific to integrating various learning management systems and popular digital lesson platforms, including Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, Lumio, and Minecraft Education Edition.

“Epson is dedicated to supporting teachers in the classroom – providing technology and tools that increase engagement and improve learning outcomes,” Epson America Senior Product Manager Remi Del Mar said. “The new e-learning courses demonstrate the different types of applications that are possible with our projection solutions. They are designed to empower teachers to utilize BrightLink interactive displays to their fullest potential in order to better enhance student learning in the classroom.”

Epson said in a news release that additional e-learning courses specific to BrightLink displays will be launched periodically on topics such as:

  • Designing engaging activities and lessons
  • Virtual field trips with Minecraft
  • Utilizing BrightLink in the early childhood classroom
  • Meeting needs of diverse learners
  • Spark learning with document cameras
