Linewize Offers No Cost Student Safety Audits to All US Schools and Districts

Linewize is offering a no-cost student safety audit to every U.S. school and district through the end of June, the company recently announced.

A student safety audit includes review of a school’s safety and crisis plans and closes with a report for school administrators identifying potential risks and recommendations for implementing a “holistic student safety program,” Linewize said.

The audit also includes 30 days of monitoring students’ online behavior using Linewize Monitor software, a threat-detection tool that helps educators spot students showing indications of mental health challenges or potentially dangerous behavioral issues, according to a news release.

“According to the National Institute of Mental Health, suicide is the second highest cause of death among 10- to 34-year-olds,” the company said. “Linewize aims to help school districts analyze the percentages of students who may be at-risk or show early signs of vulnerability.”

Linewize Monitor uses a combination of artificial intelligence and a trained human moderators to intervene on behalf of students who need the attention of school leaders, according to the news release. Only students who may be in danger or show signs they may be a danger to others are flagged by the monitoring system, Linewize said.

Linewize serves more than 11 million students globally; its parent company, Family Zone, has acquired online safety solutions Cipafilter, Smoothwall, and NetRef over the past six months.
