Amplio Special Education Accepting Spring 2024 Speech Language Innovation Grant Applications

Special education learning solutions company Amplio is now accepting applications for its Speech-Language Innovation Grant, to begin during the Spring 2024 semester and conclude at the end of July 2024. The application deadline is Oct. 20, 2023.

Amplio launched its special education platform in the summer of 2023 and awarded the Innovation grant to 10 school districts in the first cycle of 2023–2024 school year. School-based special education grant awardees receive free access to Amplio’s evidence-based interventions platform to help them "optimize intervention time and maximize impact," according to the company.

The pilot platform experience will include immersive virtual and onsite professional development options, access to a collaborative learning community, support from professional mentors, and more.

Grants are open to school districts, private school networks, and charter management organizations with a minimum enrollment of 5,000 students and at least five on-staff speech-language pathology professionals with elementary caseloads. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the application window, and all applicants will be notified about their application outcome no later than Nov. 10.

Three 45-minute question-and-answer webinars will be held for those who want to know more on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. CT; Thursday, Oct. 5, at 9 a.m. CT; and Thursday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. CT. A short FAQ is also available on the website.
