Edthena Offers Teachers Pilot Access to AI Accelerator Program

Professional education development company Edthena has launched an AI Accelerator program, including the "AI Coach by Edthena" platform to assist K–12 teachers with professional development.

The company is offering school and district leaders the opportunity to apply for up to 50% off for 50 teachers to try it out for the rest of the 2023-24 school year.

The AI Coach program is designed to save time in the professional development process by using the on-demand AI coach to help teachers identify their strengths and weaknesses, create and implement an action plan, and reflect on its impact, all while helping them to get comfortable with using AI, the company said.

The system delivers customized coaching and resources based on teacher-identified development priorities, the company said on its website. Educators can watch a brief two-minute video, "Virtual Coaching with AI," on how AI Coach works and a longer, on-demand webinar, "Using AI to Empower Teachers to Coach Themselves."

School and district leaders can apply by crafting a proposed plan for using AI Coach with teachers and completing a short submission form, the company said.

Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis through the rest of this school year, and Edthena said implementation is quick, "up and running in days."
