Scribbles Software Announces Updates to Speed Student Records Processing

Scribbles Software has expanded the capabilities of its ScribOrder online records processing and payment system with two new options: ScribOrder Starter and ScribOrder Essentials.

ScribOrder Starter allows students, families, and others to submit transcript requests via a secure online form, and for schools and districts to fulfill the requests electronically.

ScribOrder Essentials uploads a school or district's recent records into the Scribbles system on a regular basis, relieving staff members from the task of uploading individual records manually. Staff members can then access records with one click for order processing and fulfillment.

Features of both solutions include:

  • The ability to request and verify records directly through the platform 24/7, reducing the need for verification calls and in-person requests;
  • FERPA compliance, utilizing identity authentication to gather, automate, and protect student data;
  • Option to require electronic and digital signatures, as well as file uploads for supporting documents; and
  • The ability to collect payments for records fulfillment as well as donations.

"Schools and districts are often inundated with requests for student records and responding to them can be a time-consuming task," said Misty Reinhardt, director of product management at Scribbles Software, in a statement. "ScribOrder Starter helps streamline this process for records management employees and now, with ScribOrder Essentials, we're able to offer even more value with our new services for uploading documents and retrieving records for school systems that have digital records for current students, but no way to process requests for them."
