Hardware Pkg. Makes Web Publishing a Cinch

The Apple Internet Server Solution for the World Wide Web includes everything needed to set up and maintain a Web site.

Starting at about half the cost of typical UNIX-based servers, the packages include preconfigured Macintosh hardware and software. Users can create Web sites with familiar graphic, layout and editing tools, and load them right onto a Mac OS-based server.

The PowerPC-based technology runs WebSTAR and lets the servers support thousands of connections per hour. The package includes Adobe's PageMill, which brings the simplicity of desktop publishing to Web site writing and design. Also included from Adobe is Acrobat Pro; WebMap and BBEdit fill out the complete software kit.

One reason to consider the Mac OS for Web publishing is security. There are no pathways for outsiders to log directly onto the system or interfere with the network. Apple Computer Inc., Cupertino, CA, (800) 800-APPL, www.solutions. apple.com/ webtips/.
