Genetics: Fundamentals and Frontiers is a comprehensive program that covers all aspects of modern genetics. Developed with support from the National Science Foundation, this innovative high school program addresses current issues in genetics and bi'ethics, as well as recent developments in molecular biology and biotechnology.

The program features a double-sided videodisc with over 4,000 photos, diagrams, graphs and tables, and over 50 minutes of video footage and 3D animation. Ten mini-documentaries explore such topics as Huntington disease, DNA fingerprinting and the biology of cancer. Used in conjunction with written lessons, the disc provides clear explanations of contemporary genetics, theories and practices.
