AMX Helps Create "Virtual" Trading Floor

AMX Corp. has donated extensive control and lighting systems for the EDS Financial Trading and Technology Center at the University of Texas at Austin. The Center includes a classroom with high-level workstations and distance learning capabilities, a mock trading floor and a display area that showcases the unique technology used at the Center. Graduate students will use the trading floor to manage the MBA Investment Fund, one of only a few private investment funds run by students. AMX AXCESS Control Systems manage the complex projection, video and multimedia presentation requirements, while AMX RADIA dimming systems control lighting and the LCD black-out windows. Teachers and students access information through computer workstations linked to the AMX PC Communication Interface, which creates an interactive bridge between PC software and the AMX control system. For more information about the project, access the university's Web site at http://www.edscenter.utexas.edu. AMX Corp., Dallas, TX, (800) 222-0193.
