Courseware Covers Internet Basics

Introducing Educators to the Internet is courseware that provides educators with an easy-to-teach resource that can be modified for a particular school. Educators can customize their particular training, and the site license includes a "Virtual Internet" simulation that takes users on a simulated browsing experience, without actually connecting to the Net. Rounding out the courseware are two HTML courses: Basic Web Page Development and Intermediate Web Page Development. The courseware's publisher also offers two resource books to help integrate the Internet into curriculum. A Year of the Internet - Thematic Units is intended for grades K-5. It gives teachers a theme for each school month, includes learning activities, and uses Web sites for resource and course enrichment. The other book, Internet Lesson Links, is a quick guide to over 900 K-12 lesson plans, projects and activities that are available on the Internet. Teaching Technology, Austin, TX, (512) 418-1000.
