Printing Solution Addresses Education

While paper-copying costs continue to rise and budgets continue to shrink, the high-volume copying needs of educational institutions remain the same. "Risography" offers them a convenient, cost-effective alternative to traditional printing equipment. Risograph digital duplicators combine the push-button ease of a copier with the economy of a duplicator. At speeds of up to 130 pages-per-minute, a Risograph can print on a variety of paper (from 14 lb. bond to 110 lb. card stock) in sizes from 4" x 6" to 11" x 17" in up to 15 interchangeable ink colors. It can even print on paper created from recycled newsprint, which is about half the cost of regular bond paper. Convenience is provided by the ability to link a Risograph to a school's computer network; teachers or staff need not leave their desks to send documents for mass printing. Or, with a single button, the unit can be taken off-line to function independently as a stand-alone, high-speed duplicator. Risographs use 98% less energy than photocopiers and produce no ozone emissions or toxic fumes. RISO, Inc., Danvers, MA, (800) 876-RISO, x189.
