JumpStart Students' Elementary Skills

Knowledge Adventure is releasing seven new JumpStart CD-ROMs this fall, the first one available will be JumpStart 1st Grade Reading. The JumpStart Learning System is educator-designed to help kids progress quickly through elementary school in preparation for middle school, emphasizing critical thinking concepts and skills.

Teacher support materials for the CDs include lesson plans based on JumpStart curriculum modules, activity guides and blackline masters to promote communication, collaborative problem solving, organized thinking, creativity and research. Various licensing options help give access to all educators. For example, teacher editions comprise two copies of the program along with extensive support materials.

Other JumpStart titles slated for release include: 1st Grade Math, 2nd Grade Math, Kindergarten 2.0, Adventures 5th Grade, Typing and Spanish. All CDs are around $40 for teacher editions. Knowledge Adventure, Inc., Torrance, CA, (818) 246-4811, www.adventure.com.
