Contests Feature Over $120,000 in Prizes
The Computer Learning Foundation will award over $120,000 worth of technology products in eight separate contests taking place now through April. Prizes include Apple Macintosh computers, Cisco Micro Webservers and Microsoft software.
Devised to bring attention to the E-Rate, the Technology Planning Sweepstakes will recognize schools that prepare or update their technology plans during the 1997-98 school year. Three schools will be drawn at random each month, beginning December 31.
The Our Town Initiative, which encourages students to work with community members to design a Web site for their town, comprises one sweepstakes and two merit competitions. To qualify, submit a copy of your town Web site on a Zip or floppy disk by April 1, 1998. A total of 12 groups will receive hardware and software prizes for their schools.
