Web-Based Curriculum Highlights Humanities

Guidance Associates has released NetGuiders, curriculum that truly integrates the Internet at the core level. Designed for students in grades 7 - 12, the first four NetGuiders courses are U.S. History-Unit 1: FDR, the Great Depression, and the New Deal; Literature-Unit 1: Mark Twain and the Art of the Novel; Career Education-Unit 1: Getting a Job in the Real World; and Guidance/Health-Unit 1: Say "No" to Smoking & Alcohol.

Each NetGuider unit contains proprietary Java-based, self-scoring quizzes, puzzles, essay and research questions, and other appropriate activities. Internet links connect students to Web sites specifically chosen for content. Each NetGuider is available for $99 and includes five student NetGuider disks, 30 student workbook/portfolios, and one Teacher's Guide Disk with additional references and resources.

Guidance Associates is currently working on NetGuiders for English, math, social studies and science. For more information on this advanced curriculum, e-mail [email protected]. Guidance Associates, Mount Kisco, NY, (800) 431-1242.
