This service lets districts manage student records easily, and lets parents track their children’s progress, all from a centralized server. It runs on all common platforms, and is accessible from any networked or standalone computer.

Teachers can use its familiar browser-based interface to enter grades and attendance information, post homework assignments, map learning activities to standards and monitor individual students’ or an entire class’ performance. Administrators can use the system to manage student records centrally, eliminate manual data transfer and automate administrative functions such as the creation of state reports, report cards, transcripts and absentee lists. Parents can access the system from their own computers to check their children’s grades, attendance records and homework assignments. They can also sign up to receive e-mail updates of their children’s progress. PowerSchool, Folsom, CA, (888) 470-0808, www.powerschool.com.
