FYI...READS

READS, the new online reading evaluation, assessment and diagnostic system, is a two-part, criterion-referenced test that measures phonics and reading comprehension for students in grades 2 to 10. Students log on to the site to take tests that have been assigned by their teacher. Tests are instantly scored and reported to reveal gaps in a student's reading ability. READS is capable of managing any number of students, maintaining test data, reporting test scores, and creating 18 reports for summary and demographic comparison. The program is now being offered free to educators for a 30-day trial period, after which the purchase of an annual subscription is required. For details, visit www.mindplay.com.
