Students Can Conduct Research with Big Online Library

New from bigchalk.com is the bigchalk Library, an online reference tool for middle schools, high schools and public libraries. With bigchalk Library, users have access to full-text articles and transcripts from more than 1,500 magazines, newspapers, books and radio programs, along with access to more than 40,000 photographs and maps and 2,000 audiovisual resources.

The library delivers advanced search features, such as keyword searches using natural language or Boolean searches. A topic tab can be used to search for materials correlated to the topics from bigchalk's Homework Central. Results may be sorted by relevance, date, reading level, publication or source, and can be reviewed onscreen, printed or e-mailed. Content from major publications is updated and indexed daily to ensure that users have access to the latest information. In addition to the features currently offered, additional options, such as a reference desk and a customization option, will soon be added to the library. bigchalk.com, Ann Arbor, MI, (800) 860-9228, www.bigchalk.com.
