Encourage Young People to Read

Book Adventure is a free online reading incentive program for students in grades K-8. It sponsors a contest called Book Bonanza, in which the participants who read the most books at their grade level and earn perfect scores on the online quiz for each title are rewarded with trips and prizes. Prizes are awarded in two age groupings, grades K-3 and grades 4-8. Children participating in the contest can use Book Adventure to create personalized book lists from over 4,000 titles.

BookAdventure.org uses technology and incentives to motivate children to read. It offers quizzes for all of the books on its list in order for parents and teachers to ensure that students have read and understood the books. Book Adventure, Baltimore, MD, (410) 843-3092, www.bookadventure.org.
