Individualized Content Environment Delivers Feedback to Students

Knowledge Environments, Inc. has launched Individualized Content Environment (ICE), an e-learning technology that adapts to a student’s learning abilities rather than forcing the student to adapt to the technology. Instead of simulating the physical classroom, ICE supports the classroom learning experience by delivering engaging interactive content that adapts to what the student needs or wants. The technology can be used as a virtual teaching assistant, thus enhancing regular or online classrooms.

Each page is dynamically assembled because ICE stores engaging content with corresponding multimedia as educational objects in a database. If a student is experiencing difficulty with a particular concept, ICE delivers feedback to help the student understand the concept. If a student is performing well, the system delivers additional content to build the user’s fluency in the subject matter. Furthermore, the student has complete control to learn or review whichever concept he or she chooses at any time, in any sequence.
