Microsoft Offers Educational Pricing for 'OneNote'

Microsoft Corp. is offering special academic pricing for Microsoft Office's new note-taking program, "OneNote 2003," allowing students and educators to obtain the Academic Edition full-packaged product for $49 when it is released this month. Microsoft is also making OneNote 2003 widely available to teachers, schools and students worldwide through volume licensing incentives at the campus and school levels. Educational institutions that have active campus and school agreements with Microsoft between now and Dec. 31, 2003, have the opportunity to try out the new OneNote at no charge until their contracts expire. In addition, through the end of 2003, a half-million OneNote beta trial CDs will be distributed to students and educators interested in starting the school year with a digital solution for note taking.

Microsoft is also conducting a Microsoft Office OneNote "Take Note & Win" sweepstakes, giving college students and teachers an opportunity to win a tablet PC or one of about 300 tablet PC kiosks running Microsoft Office System applications, including OneNote, to be installed at campus bookstores.
