Fraction Shape-Up

Fraction Shape-Up is a software program that helps students in grades 3-5 better understand the concept and application of fractions. The program contains 499 math problems and more than 1,200 questions that are divided into eight units, which are each composed of four parts. "Tryout" helps students find the right questions to work on, "Warm-Up" lets students practice one skill at a time, "Workout" challenges students to practice mixed skills, and "Finals" is the final testing round. All lessons are self-directing and self-correcting, and the program provides step-by-step help in solving problems. Besides Fraction Shape-Up, the company offers other titles that focus on various math topics. Merit Software, (800) 753-6488, www.meritsoftware.com.
