WORLDBOOK TAKES KIDS TO MARS

Students in grades 5-12 can explore the surface of Mars this summer with World Book’s special online feature, “Exploring the Red Planet,” dedicated to the 2003 series of missions to Mars.

“Exploring the Red Planet” is the product of a close collaboration between World Book, NASA, and various experts on space exploration. The program includes discussions and activities related to the proposed NASA “scout” mission, the Aerial Regional-Scale Environmental Survey of Mars.

Students can access the ARES team site for details about the proposed mission, along with images, video, and animation.
