COREL has released Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, an update to the company's image-editingsuite that's positioned as a low-cost alternative to other professional imageeditors and targeted in large part toward students. The major focus of the X2 releaseis enhanced image editing and effects capabilities. The new version also adds a“graphite” workspace that makes photos stand out, watermarking capabilities, and aphoto-fixing mode that allows users to modify folders full of photos—cropping, rotating,removing red eye, and straightening—without having to wait for each individualphoto to open. The program's built-in Learning Center helps new users get started.Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 is available now for Windows-based systems. Price: $59.99(education edition).
