Pearson Gives SASI Customers PowerSchool Premier Free

Education publisher Pearson said that it will offer a free PowerSchool Premier license to existing customers of its SASI student information system. The license includes PowerSchool Premier and state reporting, PowerTeacher, the PowerSchool SIF Agent, and SIFWorks Enterprise Zone Integration Server 2.0 license.

PowerSchool Premier is a Web-based, cross-platform student information system (SIS) that provides users access through any standard Web browser. According to the company, its open architecture enables easy updates and enhanced functionality for state reporting.

"The SASI Customer First Program is designed to reward the longstanding loyalty of Pearson's SASI customers and provide them with an updated technology infrastructure capable of growing alongside their student information management needs now and well into the future," said Mary McCaffrey, president of the School Systems group of Pearson, in a statement Monday.

Over the next two years, Pearson will migrate schools from the SASI platform over to PowerSchool Premier, with scheduling designed to fit individual school district needs. To aid in the transition, Pearson's Product Education team has released a series of courses to provide SASI users with the information necessary to make the move to PowerSchool Premier.
