Michael Sawyer Delivers Adobe Crash Courses for Educators
Adobe software is ubiquitous in the work world, but many educators have yet to realize the value of these technology tools in the classroom setting. Michael Sawyer, new media production specialist instructor and Adobe educational leader at Aparicio-Levy Technical Center in Florida, is out to change that. At the FETC 2009 conference this week in Orlando, FL, Sawyer will present three different sessions on how to incorporate Adobe's software programs into the educational world. More

Adobe Rolls Out eLearning Suite
Adobe has debuted its new eLearning Suite, a system designed to facilitate courseware authoring, media editing, and the creation of other learning materials. The company has also launched Captivate 4, an upgrade to its eLearning content authoring tool. More
School Recycling Fundraising Program Expands to Laptops, Ink, iPods
Global Re-Source Funding, a company that provides recycling fundraising programs for schools, has expanded the range of discarded technologies that it's willing to receive. Last spring the company opened up its program to used iPods; now it's added laptop computers and Epson inkjet cartridges. More

Georgia District Deploys Unitrends To Protect Data
Griffin-Spalding County Schools has installed the Unitrends Rapid Recovery System to provide hardware protection and data backup and recovery in the event of a disaster. The suburban district, located 40 miles south of Atlanta, comprises 21 schools teaching grades K through 12. More
