Idaho District Moves to School Loop Portal

The Lakeland Joint School District #272 of Rathdrum, ID, has launched a new portal with the help of School Loop Standard (SLS), a site and content management system from School Loop.

Lakeland was able to have its site up and running within two weeks, said a spokesperson, without experienced programmers or graphic artists to design and launch the portal. The finished product includes tables, directories, news, blogs, images, and more.

"We wanted Web sites that were easy for staff to create and update without having to take up precious professional learning time to learn HTML coding. We also knew that the improved sites would allow for better interaction between teachers, parents and students," said Chad Parson, technology support manager for Lakeland Joint School District.

The company awarded 100 school districts the complete hosted solution free of charge to celebrate the product's launch. The CMS will also be free of advertising, data gathering, and all other standard methods companies use to generate commercial revenue via products offered for free.
