EPS Grant Program will Fund RTI Programs

A new grant program by EPS, School Specialty’s literacy and intervention division, will offer school districts funding toward software to support Response to Intervention programs.

Called the EPS RTI grant program, the initiative will provide selected applicants with:

  • Funding of up to 35 percent of the program cost to purchase the company’s RTI solutions;
  • An in person review of the RTI program with an expert; and
  • Professional development, coaching, and support for administrators and teachers.

To apply for funding, districts should submit a proposal with a detailed description of a planned or current RTI program in reading or math, along with a statement of need, timeline, and evaluation procedures.

EPS provides print, online, and blended RTI materials, including the web-based Academy of Reading and Academy of Math programs. According to information released by the company, those programs meet the efficacy quality standards for research set out by the U.S. Department of Education What Works Clearinghouse, which uses research to help schools vet educational materials.

Application forms, guidelines, and additional information is available online.
