Earobics Adds Expanded Language Support, New Assessment Tools

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) has launched an updated version of its hybrid reading intervention tool, Earobics, with mobile device compatibility and expanded language support for English language learners.

Designed to ensure that all students read with confidence by third grade and aligned to the Common Core State Standards, "Earobics provides explicit, systematic, and tailored instruction in phonological and phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, reading, comprehension, vocabulary acquisition and use, writing, speaking, and listening," according to information released by the company.

Features new to Earobics 2014 include:

  • New phonics and vocabulary software, games, and characters;
  • Instructions in 11 different languages for English language learners;
  • New assessment tools, both diagnostic and prescriptive, and real time reporting customized to the Common Core;
  • Online and updated teacher's guides; and
  • The ability to search games and assessment tools by Common Core State Standards.

HMH will be demonstrating Earobics June 23-26 at the International Society for Technology in Education Annual Conference in San Antonio at booth 11099.
