Video Surveillance Company Issuing Security Grants to Schools

Schools short on funds but seeking a way to ramp up video surveillance at their locations may want to go after one of the grants being issued over the next year by Video Insight. The Houston company develops enterprise video management software.
Each month this year Video Insight will award a "School Security Grant" to one recipient. That school, district, or college will receive:
- 48 video management software licenses;
- 16 IP video surveillance cameras;
- 1 video encoder;
- 10 years of the software upgrades; and
- 1 year of the company's customer assurance program
"In this day and age of continued violent acts and threats on campuses, every school and college needs a video surveillance solution as part of an overall security plan," said Video Insight Chief Executive Officer Robert Shaw. "Despite the fact that video surveillance is essential, there continue to be schools and colleges out there that have absolutely no protection due to budget constraints. The Video Insight School Security Grant is designed to help those schools that lack funds implement a video surveillance solution."
The grant application is available via registration online at video-insight.com.
Video Insight claims 4,500 schools and campuses among its customer base, including Ascension Public Schools in Louisiana, Austin Independent School District in Texas, and Hobbs Municipal Schools in New Mexico.
