Naiku Adds Standards-based Assessment Features to Software

Naiku is updating its assessment software with new features designed to better support standards-based grading. Upgrades include an increased number of reports available to instructors and expanded test creation options.

The software is commonly used to measure and track students’ proficiency of standards in any subject area through a variety of meta-cognitive tools, such as justification/journaling and reflection to help teachers gauge understanding and progress.

As part of the update, the software now lets instructors directly transport a student’s proficiency level into any gradebook. Previously, it only allowed direct transfer of test scores to gradebooks.

“Standards-based grading is popular with many of our school customers,” stated Naiku CEO, Greg Wright in a statement. “They have loved the ability to quickly measure and track student learning by any standard.  Now they can easily send the performance directly to the gradebook as well.”

Naiku will be exhibiting in booth 3375 at the ISTE 2014 conference taking place in Atlanta June 28–July 1. Further details can be found at naiku.net
