LoudCloud Updates Competency Ed Platform with Simpler Course Authoring, Expanded LTI Compliance

LoudCloud Systems has updated its competency-based education (CBE) platform, Fastrak, with an improved user experience, simplified course authoring and "paths" for students and teachers, among other enhancements.

The new path feature is designed around CBE to improve access for both teachers and students to content, resources, assessments and grades and the user interface has been redesigned for simpler navigation to improve ease of use.

The company has also expanded learning tools interoperability (LTI) self-enablement to allow integration with any LTI-compliant app, whether it's from LoudCloud's app store or not.

"By simplifying navigation and course authoring, we have made our environment more user friendly while staying committed to a robust and flexible platform," said Manoj Kutty, CEO of LoudCloud Systems, in a prepared statement. "Fastrak 2.0 meets the needs of direct assessment, credit equivalency or hybrid CBE programs and has been recently selected by five leading institutions that together enroll over 400,000 students."
