Charles County Adopts New SIS for Real-Time Info Access

Charles County Public Schools has adopted a new student information system (SIS) in an effort to provide real-time student information to all stakeholders.

With 26,000 students at 36 campuses, the district chose to adopt Edupoint's Synergy SIS for "its powerful feature set and ability to provide a customizable solution with innovative family engagement portals, intuitive scheduling tools and robust analytics and reporting capabilities," according to a news release.

"Charles County Public Schools needed a modern solution that would provide them timely and flexible access to student and instructional data and eliminate reliance on third-party solutions, and we're proud to say Synergy was able to meet those requirements," said Rob Wilson, president and chief innovation officer, in a prepared statement. "Synergy's single database allows the district to enter data just once and have it available in real-time throughout the entire Synergy Education Platform, which maximizes efficiency and greatly simplifies student information management from registration through graduation."
