Turnitin Adds Lexile Measures to Revision Assistant

Turnitin’s Revision Assistant has incorporated the Lexile Framework for Reading from MetaMetrics,  a company that develops scientific measures of academic achievement.

Turnitin launched Revision Assistant early last year. The web-based instructional writing program provides actionable comments, real-time feedback and other tools for grading student writing assignments. Now, as a result of the MetaMetrics partnership, “Lexile information will be visible to teachers during the assignment setup process,” helping teachers to assign reading level-specific assignments, prompts and activities to students, according to a news release.

The Lexile measures are aligned to Common Core State Standards for career and college readiness.
