Casio Revamps Free Online Math Platform

Casio is adding new features into its free online calculator program. ClassPad.net Version 2.0 gives students and teachers the ability to use a virtual protractor and compass tool, create grids and incorporate real world-images in geography.

The online calculator allows students to understand mathematical concepts using a single platform that can be used with a keyboard, mouse or touch-based devices.  ClassPad.net has interactive features where users can draw geometry figures and input calculations online instead of using scratch paper.

Other features of the online platform include:

  • Enabling statistical calculations including tests, interval distributions and inverse distributions
  • Plotting data points, adding text labels, expressions and pictures to graphs or geometry diagrams.
  • Digital geometry papers functionality to hide or show content and control what information can be edited.
  • Sticky notes within the software to help students make connections between different areas of mathematics.
  • A math-based text editor with an assortment of mathematical templates.
  • Paper management to create folders and organize work.

ClassPad.Net is available for free on any modern browser through registration.
