7 Mindsets Acquires Lessons For SEL

Social-emotional learning provider 7 Mindsets has acquired the Lessons for SEL subscription-based streaming platform of video lessons and SEL content, according to a news release.

7 Mindsets, which has provided SEL curriculum and professional development programs to PreK–12 schools since 2009, will add Lessons for SEL content to the 7 Mindset offerings; the acquisition includes titles such as “6 Minute SEL” and the popular “SEL Video of the Week,” among other assets, said the announcement.

Lessons for SEL Founder Byron McClure, Ed.D., will join 7 Mindsets as director of innovation, the company said.

Included in the purchase is Lessons for SEL’s streaming platform SELTV, which has hundreds of SEL video lessons and content on such topics as self-management, decision-making skills, physical and mental well-being, and educator professional development. Some of that content can be found on McClure’s Lessons For SEL YouTube channel, 7 Mindsets said.
