Computer and electronics maker ASUS today introduced its new 2022 Expert Series line of laptops, including new models with greater flexibility and security specifically made for education, retail, healthcare and enterprise users, according to a news release.
The new line includes configurable ExpertBook Laptops, ExpertCenter Desktops, MiniPCs, Workstations and AiO (all-in-one) models fit for both hybrid and remote work opportunities, led by the ExpertBook B9 (B9450CBA), a 14-inch business laptop; and the ExpertBook B7 Flip (B7402FBA), a 14-inch 5G flip laptop.
The ExpertBook series devices are built with 12th Generation Intel Core™ i7 processors; Intel vPro Enterprise and Essentials support; enterprise security and features for collaboration; EPEAT and Energy Star certifications; ASUS two-way AI noise cancellation for clear voice communications; a physical webcam privacy shield; and support for the latest Intel WiFi 6E connectivity to level-up video conferencing, the company said.
The ExpertBook B9's magnesium-alloy chassis weighs 880g (about 1.94 pounds), features a magnesium-lithium forged lid and reinforced construction built to military-grade endurance standards and stringent ASUS torture tests, according to a news release. Its battery life is up to 16 hours, and the laptop has EPEAT Gold certification and sustainable packaging.
ExpertBook B7 Flip offers up to 11 hours of battery life and optional 5G, a magnesium-aluminum alloy design that is light and thin, with the ErgoLift hinge enabling it to rotate a full 360 degrees for use as a traditional laptop or as a tablet, ASUS said. It features a 16:10 touchscreen, magnetic stylus, and biometric login capabilities including facial and fingerprint recognition, as well as ASUS' PrivateView mode which fades the screen at a 45-degree viewing angle.
