Varsity Tutors Launches On-Demand Essay Review

Varsity Tutors, the flagship business of parent company Nerdy Inc., an online live learning platform used by students from elementary school through college, has announced the addition of On-Demand Essay Review. This new service allows students to upload a draft of their work to the secure Live Learning platform and get coaching and feedback from tutors within 48 hours.

The service is available to students in districts currently participating in On Demand Tutoring, which gives all students in a district or school 24-hour access to live, chat-based tutoring, live and recorded academic and enrichment classes, and self-study resources, the company said.

On-demand services include:

• District-wide homework, study, and essay help

• Unlimited, 24/7 on-demand tutoring

• Standards-based practice resources

• Always-on live and recorded enrichment programs

Varsity Tutors offers harried teachers a helping resource, the company notes. “Teachers tell us that they wish they had more time to give students personalized feedback on their writing, and Essay Review offers schools the ability to help students more frequently, creating ongoing opportunities to improve their skills,” said Anthony Salcito, Chief Institution Business Officer at Nerdy.
